Nitrification Process in a Nuclear Wastewater with High Load of Nitrogen, Uranium and Organic Matter under ORP Controlled

چکیده
To produce nuclear fuels, it is necessary to convert uranium′s ore into UO2-ceramic grade, using several quantities of kerosene, methanol, nitric acid, ammonia, and, in low level, tributyl phosphate (TBP). Thus, the effluent generated by industries one most toxic since contains high concentrations dangerous compounds. This paper explores biological parameters on real wastewater Monod model an ORP controlled predicting specific ammonia oxidation. Thermodynamic were established Nernst equation monitor Oxiders/Reductors relationship obtain a correlation these controlling and monitoring; that would allow technical operators have better control nitrification process. The formed mixture two different lines discharges, composed load nitrogen, around 11,000 mg/L (N-NH4+-N-NO3−) 600 Uranium, second one, proceeds from uranium purification, containing TBP COD be removed. Bioprocesses operated samples over 120 days under ORP, as described equations, which proved robust tool operate for larger periods with very uranium, COD.

Background: Moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) is one of the new hybrids biological systems that are used in treatment of wastewater contaminated by organic and nitrogen pollutant. In this study, the continuously operated laboratory scale Kaldnes(k1) moving bed biofilm reactors (MBBRs) was investigated. Methods: In this system, two series as Anoxic reactor (R1) and aerobic (R2) have a size 3...
متن کاملInvestigating the efficiency of chemical coagulation/Electro-Fenton process in the removal of organic matter from pharmaceutical industry wastewater
Background and Objective: Wastewater from pharmaceutical industry has high chemical oxygen demand as a result of the presence of organic drugs and antibiotics. In order to meet the environmental requirements, several treatment methods like chemical and electrochemical methods have been widely applied due to their high ability to remove organic compounds from pharmaceutical wastewater. Therefore...
متن کاملApplication of wastewater with high organic load for saline-sodic soil reclamation focusing on soil purification ability
Fresh water source scarcity in arid and semiarid area is limitation factor for saline-sodic soil reclamation. The reusing of agricultural drainage and industrial wastewater are preferred strategies for combating with this concern. The objective of current study was evaluation in application of industrial sugar manufacture wastewater due to high soluble organic compounds in saline-sodic and sodi...
